1. When was the last time someone you were talking to crossed the boundary into TMI? How did you handle it?

Today/Everyday. J likes to talk about TMI stuff to the point that it barely even bothers me anymore. Now I just give him advice or comment on  situation.

2. When was the last time you were talking and realized you had crossed into TMI? How did the other person react? What did you do next?

I was talking to a friend from work about my blog. She actually took it really well and asked me how I started it. I explained to her how I started and showed her tips to help her get a smooth start.

3. Which subject matter is mostly TMI to you, i.e. you don’t want to hear?
a. sex
b. medical treatment or history
c. bodily functions
d. icky food
e. finances
f. political opinions
e. other – tell us

I don’t really care for knowing when someone’s last bowel movement was or how often they fart, etc.

4. Do you ever entice people into TMI, such as try to get them to share something that should be private?

Sometimes if they are telling me a story but leaving out the juicy details I will try to pull the details out of them.

5. Do you enjoy swapping TMI tales–“I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours?”

Yeah, depending on what the story is about. I’ve shared sex tales, medical experiences, info on new toys I’ve received, sex advice, etc.

Bonus:  How do you feel about Pope Francis embracing “climate change” climate science?

I’m glad that a Pope finally acknowledges the changing sciences of the world but I don’t completely agree with his statement that developing countries owe it to the poor countries since developing countries are the largest producers of greenhouse gases. I believe that larger rich countries should help poorer countries, but at the same time those rich countries need to help their own citizens first. If we have people starving or living in the streets, we need to help them before we spend millions of dollars helping other countries.
